The methods of the physical theory made an assessment of the limits of proportionality and strength, residual deformations of carbon steel. The relationship between the mechanical characteristics of the material strength and physical parameters is shown analytically; the initial physical structural and energy parameters of the steel and the dependences of the physical theory are used for this. A generalized model of the rheological stress diagram for uniaxial tension of steel to failure, providing the necessary average rate of relative deformations of the material, according to ISO6892-84, is used.

Objective. Using the equations and formulas of the theory, show the objective relationship between the physical structural and energy parameters and the usual mechanical properties of strength and deformation characteristics of the material under uniaxial tension. Applying physical equations, material parameters,, theoretically estimate the standard mechanical parameters of strength, residual plastic deformation, time to brittle fracture of steel, simulating the conditions of uniaxial tension according to ISO 6892-84.
